When I first came to Mission High School at the beginning of the year, I thought I would never fit in with the people at this school. The school was new to me, as was the city. In fact, the entire country was new to me. Having moved from an international school in Seoul, Korea, I was quite hesitant about going to any school in San Francisco.

However, as time went on, I grew to like Mission High School and the people in it. This year at Mission High School has been wonderful as far as academics go. It was definitely easier than 11th grade at SFS, but that only gave me more time to invest in extra-curricular activities.

Most of this extra time was spent in preparing for the Mock Trial competition, which we lost to Balboa in the finals. Apart from that, I got to spend a lot of time on expanding my knowledge of filming and Java. I would have done some acting as well, but due to the time-consuming Mock Trial, I was unable to do so. I got to do workshops like Arriba Juntos which will come in handy in the future.

I had some cool teachers this year. I made a couple of friends this year as well, including Apar, Mark, Henrietta, RJ, and some more. It was fun being able to share this last year of high school with such wonderful people, no matter how weird they are. I will never forget our fantastical take over of the world, and me promising to give certain parts of the world to my friends, all in good humor.

All in all, my senior year at Mission High School has been incredibly fun. I will miss the people at the school. I’m sure that when I look back at this year in the future, I will remember all these great memories of friends, teachers and mentors.
