The purpose of this assignment was to write a literary analysis of any novel that was written in another language, and then translated into english. So I chose to write my analysis on the novella "The Metamorphosis" by Franz Kafka. It can be read here.
I met standards by analyzing the Kafka's use of imagery and language in the novella to create a specific feeling considering the protagonist. I also supported my ideas by using accurate references to the translated text.
I met these standards by using images and diction to suggest Gregor's desperation for sexual contact. I used the text to support the imagery and language I talk about in the analysis.
I think that this work is one of my best an dshow my growth since I worked on it for a long time. I also used a lot of time in finding the evidence to support my thesis.
Along with my hard work, I received the tremendous gratification of getting a 6 on this assignment on the IB scale. The idea originally came to me from a friend, and looking into it, I saw that there was indeed enough evidence for me to write this analysis.
