Historical Investigation and Research Paper

The research paper was our senior project in the first semester, we had to choose our topics which was the hardest part because there were so many good topics, at first i was going to write about immigration, but since there was a death penalty case going on, Tookie William,I changed my mind and decided to write about death penalty.

Water Reflection

Standards:
• 12.11: Examine casual relationship between scarcity and need for choices.
• 12.1.4: Evaluate the role of private property as an incentive in conserving and improving scarce resources, including renewable and non-renewable natural resources.

Objective:
Water is very important to a peaceful and happy life. Many countries such as Bolivia have difficulties getting access to clean and healthy water. We as a class used Bolivia as an example to define the concept of scarcity and the idea of public vs. private ownership.

Steps taken:
• We read different articles and watched a movie called “ THIRST”
• We did a cost/benefit analysis to list all the advantages and disadvantages of both parties { Semapa(public) / Bechtel(private) }
