A list of books, showing I have met the standards required for my senior year.

The last book I read, was nervous conditions by Tsitsi Dangarembga. It deals with assimilation as survival or unforgivable. Tambu, the main character, comes from a very humble family, but her uncle and his family moved to England and they changed becaused they assimilated to the culture. Tambu wants to go to school, and she moves to her uncle's house, but there, she starts struggling against assimilation. she does not want to change how she is and forget where she comes from, but is hard because everybody at her house is that way. Later on, she goes to another school, in Europe, and she loses contact with her family and friend.
