My name is Dionne Spencer and I am a senior this year at Mission High School. I intern at the Crissy Field Center every Wednesday and Saturday where we learn about environmental issues and try to get others to be more aware of them.

This program is a big part of my life because besides school and hanging out what my friends this is what I do. So I would like to share some of the work I do with you.

The program I am in is called Inspiring Young Emerging Leaders (I-YEL) Some of the projects I-YEL has done was a play on environmental justice which was called"Not In My BAAAckyard:
The Great Widget Conspiracy" We also did a fashion show made with all scrap material, which focused on the connections between the media, consumerism, and natural resources.

Through all of our projects what we mainly try to promote awareness. Because if you don't know what's wrong, you can't fix it.
