did this project when I was in 10th grade in Modern World class
with Ms. Gaind, and I chose the topic about Homelessness, because
I thought that was and still is something everyone sees when walking
down the streets. In fact, when I was in 9th grade I did a project
related to homelessness, so finding information wasn't’t
so hard for me because I already had some from 9th grade. I researched
more information and statistics about the population growth and
how it affects people. I looked for reasons why there are so many
homeless people in the streets and the most common one was income
. People did not have enough money to pay rent. After I had all
my facts, I started writing my essay. We had to have seven subtitles
that had to do with each topic I was going to talk about. Those
subtitles were: Introduction, History of Homelessness, Homelessness
Now, Homeless Benefits Reduced, Homelessness and Diseases, Real
Change Organization, and Conclusion. I met the English standard
of 1.3 structuring my ideas and arguments by having concrete details
and strong commentaries on my essay.

this project, I learned reasons why so many people live on the
streets, and that helped me see that some of them do not have
the choice of having a home or not. The United States would become
better rent were not so high and people’s incomes were not
so low, because there is a lack of economic balance. I learned
about myself that I am able to find information and write a long
essay that can provide facts that the reader would not have known
about homeless people. Now, I have more practice in writing essays,
but in my 10th grade year I was still learning the structure,
so I am proud that I was able to complete this Term paper two
years ago, as a practice for what college may be like.
