I am currently a graduating senior and am planning to attend Sonoma State University in the fall of 2007-2008. I also intend to graduate from Sonoma State University. Once I get into college I'd like to try to follow a career in either international business or, if it seems possible, I would like to become a historian. This is because I have been influenced by my wonderful history teacher, Ms. Taylor. I know these two careers are very different disciplines, but these are the two careers in which I am interested in right now. First of all, the main reason for which I would like to become a historian is because I have read a part of the book A People’s History of the United States, by Howard Zinn. In this book I learned so many things about the transformation of the United States by reading about the arrival of Columbus all the way to the Great Depression. Second of all, I also would like to get a major in international business, because I really do love to travel and work at the same time. The greatest incentive I have for trying to pursue a degree in international business, is that I’ve thought of it as a career that would always keep me in an excellent financial shape.
In addition to being focused on pursuing an international business and
a history degree, I also plan to do sports such as wrestling, swimming
or martial arts. These will be the other activities I will be doing in
order for me to keep a balance between school and not feeling stressed
out. Additionally, I would like to get involved in an outreach program
so that I will be able to get some extra help with homework to understand
what I will need to comprehend in college.
