• Standard: 2.4 – Historical Investigation Reports
• Assignment Name: Budget essay

• Objective: To keep a running balance by having a budget.

• Question Prompt: How is this piece my best history piece?

As of today, the budget essay is what I consider to be my best social studies piece. I believe that this is my best piece because it is the most recent piece that I have produced for social studies. The objective was to learn how to keep a running balance by having a budget. To write the essay I had to create an excel document. The essay included information from an excel document that I had to work on. The excel document had kept track of my own “personal budget.” I recorded data based on the things a person would usually pay for in life. The data contained things such as: future student loans, housing, gas and oil, clothing, taxes, food etc. I then calculated the total, in years, to find out if I would be in debt or not.

I am most certain that I can redo and make this piece of work to make it better. The thing that I know I can fix the most is the length of the essay. I know that I can add more detail; more depth about what the project was all about. Next time I can change the image size of the two pie charts I’ve added into the essay. The thing that happened last time was that one of the paragraphs didn’t actually look like a paragraph due to the picture of the pie chart.
