My name is Rosemarie Icaro. I was born on September 30, 1989 in Philippines. I came here last September 16, 2004 and I have been here for almost 3 years. The reason why I came here is to study hard and to have a good life in the future. I live here with my mom, grandmother, and siblings (1 older Sis and 2 younger Brothers). My Dad is still in the Philippines, because they were not married when my mom got here. I am glad to encounter different kinds of people here in America and also to have new friends, because they are the ones who pushed me do well in school.

As a teenager I do have many goals that I want to fulfill, but not all the time. I can achieve them, because I know there is going to be a big obstacle to stop me, but no matter what happens I will not give up and keep myself strong enough to pass all the trials in my life. Because life is full of challenges. I have to keep going and show people how determined I am to fulfill my dreams and show them what I can do to make my own life better than what they expected. Sometimes I do let people define me, but sometimes I don't. I don't let them put me down. I always do what I think is right, also I follow what my heart says.
